South Africa has announced its white-ball squads for the upcoming South Africa tour of Australia 2025. Senior leaders Temba Bavuma and Aiden Markram are returning to lead the Proteas in a challenging series down under. The tour includes three T20Is and three ODIs, kicking off on August 10.
Bavuma and Markram Back in Charge
After a brief absence, both captains return to action. Bavuma, who suffered a hamstring injury during the World Test Championship Final at Lord’s in June, is set to lead the ODI side. Meanwhile, Markram rested for the Zimbabwe tour and resumes his role as T20I captain.
The Proteas have made room for rising stars, with Prenelan Subrayen earning his maiden white-ball call-up. He was added to the squad after impressing in the domestic One-Day Cup. Lhuan-dre Pretorius, who made his Test and T20I debut in Zimbabwe, has also been included in the ODI setup for the first time.
